Vice President of Sales

Job Responsibilities

At Student Connections, our mission is to help students become better consumers of post-secondary education. We work with colleges and universities, consumers and third parties to promote and deliver our products and services.

The individual in this position is primarily responsible for acquisition and growth of Student Connections’ revenue through our core product offerings.

Other key responsibilities include:

  • Design and execute Student Connections’ sales strategy.
  • Hire, manage and drive success of sales team.
  • Provide operational leadership to the sales team including sales forecasting, territory assignments, accountability metrics, performance management and commission planning.
  • Own results and determine, recommend and implement appropriate course correction as necessary.
  • Meet and exceed assigned monthly, quarterly and annual sales productivity, revenue and profitability targets.


  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience


  • 5+ years of sales leadership experience with solid track record of building teams in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience in selling technology driven products and services into higher education is preferred but not required.

Specific Skills

  • Familiarity with Sandler Sales Training; working experience with Microsoft Dynamics CRM.
  • Working knowledge of higher education preferred but not necessary.

Other Information

  • Reports to the President of Student Connections.
  • Potential for some limited travel (less than 15%)
